The Klipsch R-40PM Reference Powered Bookshelf Speakers are two-way stand-mount speakers that surpass the performance of their predecessor the R-41PM model. The R-40PMs are powered speakers with built-in amplification in the primary speaker eliminating the need to connect them to an external amplifier or AVR. A passive crossover means this primary speaker powers the other via a passive crossover making them powered rather than fully active speakers. With both two channels driven you can achieve 70 watts of total system power with 35 W per channel at less than one per cent THD. The R-40PM pairs a one-inch LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) aluminium tweeter with a four-inch TCP spun copper mid/bass unit. These LTS tweeters feature Klipschs exclusive 90 x 90-degree Tractrix horn ensuring room-filling sound. With a deeper cabinet too the R-40PMs provide an improved bass extension of 60Hz. Including an integrated phono pre-amp and Bluetooth connectivity this pair of bookshelf speakers can be seamlessly merged with your vinyl or streaming setups.
