It features a nude elliptical stylus which sits more precisely in the groove than the bonded stylus used in the AT-VM520xEB. This added precision helps reveal extra clarity in vocals texture in acoustic instruments and subtle dynamics in complex recordings. As with other models in the VMx range it uses a dual magnet system designed to mirror the original record-cutting head ensuring accurate stereo imaging and wide frequency response. The paratoroidal coil design combined with high-purity copper wire improves transient response and helps deliver a natural lifelike sound. Installation is easy with threaded inserts for a secure two-screw fit and the interchangeable stylus system opens up plenty of upgrade paths across the VM and VMx series as your system develops.
