Product Fundamentals
  • The Audio Technica AT-VM750xSH is designed for those who want even more nuance and texture from their vinyl playback. It features a nude Shibata stylus known for its extended contact with the groove walls. This shape offers excellent high-frequency retrieval and reduced distortion especially towards the inner grooves making it a great match for well-produced records with complex sonic layers. Compared to the AT-VM745xML which uses a nude microlinear stylus the 750xSH brings a subtly different presentation. While both cartridges feature boron cantilevers and the same rigid aluminium body the Shibata stylus provides a warmer tonal balance and a slightly broader contact area in the groove. This can deliver a more fluid top end and greater realism in vocals and acoustic instruments. If the 745 excels in analytical precision the 750 leans toward musicality and richness—ideal for those who prefer a more immersive listening experience.
