The hypercardioid pattern results in particularly tight recordings in which the speaker is reproduced clearly and accurately, completely ignoring ambient noise. The Audix MG18HC is equipped with a gold-plated XLR-M jack that allows you to connect the microphone. This is a condenser microphone, so you do need an 18-52V interface, mixer or microphone preamp for proper operation. The MG18HC also comes with a table mount and a windscreen.
