Product Fundamentals
  • Bach Stradivarius Bach have been making brass instruments since 1924 and are viewed as one of the best trumpet manufacturers in the world. In 1928 Bach decided to use their expertise to begin manufacturing trombones - which have since grown to gain a reputation similar to their trumpets. Musicians would frequently refer to early Bach trumpets as having a real Stradivarius sound referring to the world-famous string instruments. This led to the Stradivarius range of instruments being created. Stradivarius models are all hand-made by expert craftsmen in the United States using the finest materials and held to the highest standard of quality control - all to ensure only the most premium instruments bear the Stradivarius name. Special features The Bach Stradivarius 50AF3 comes with a hand-hammered single-piece yellow-brass bell. Producing a bell in this way is much more labour intensive than cheaper two-piece bells but it yields a much purer resonance and tone. An inline independent F/Gb-attachment is utilised on the 50AF3. This open-wrap loop helps to decrease air resistance by reducing the number of sharp angles in the tubing. Patented Infinity axial flow valves are used in place of traditional rotary valves further reducing the angles through which air is diverted. This all results in much less variation in blowing resistance and tone colour when the loop is engaged significantly improving the playability of the instrument. To ensure an incredibly smooth slide action and effortless playability the inner slide tubing is made from chrome-plated nickel silver. This premium material glides freely allowing rapid movement - and also adds brilliance to the timbre. Included accessories The Bach 50AF3 bass trombone comes included with a Bach 1-1/2G mouthpiece and an 1845C wood shell case. The mouthpiece provides a rich deep tone with a quick response and effortless blowing on low pedal notes. Your trombone will be kept safe from bangs and scrapes with the sturdy yet lightweight construction of the 1845C case perfect for the musician on the move.
