Product Fundamentals
- A clever take on guitar synthesis (or a way to reimagine other instruments) the Quimera is a polyphonic pedal which analyses the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the input signal then allows you to create new timbres from oscillators and wavetables. Supplier's Notes: From multiple detected frequency peaks
- QUIMERA estimates the fundamental and harmonics - and treats them independently. This preserves the harmonics of your instrument while synthesizing the character itself. You can also control how much harmonic content is mixed in. Bananana Effects' proprietary tracking engine samples your input every 5 ms, then analyzes it and sends pitch and envelope data to the oscillators. Total Latency 12.5mc, built for real-time play. After pitch tracking, your signal runs through oscillators and effects, yet total measured latency remains an ultra-low 12.5 ms. That's like standing about 4.3 m from your amp. In addition, the following features support tracking stability, playability, and overall sound control: .Sensitivity (tracking sensitivity) adjustment .Note-level compressor .Transpose .Pitch quantize .Glide (portamento) Layer two independent oscillators, detune one, modulate the other with an LFO, and build a wide range of sounds. 3 OSC ENGINES: Alongside BASIC
- QUIMERA includes a morphing wavetable synth and a sample oscillator with multiple playback modes. Wavetables and samples also have user slots - connect to a computer to add your own freely. Ready-to-use classic waveforms. from square and sawtooth to retro-game tones and organ-like sounds. Hard sync - a classic feature found on many analog synthesizers
- Hard-sync the waveform cycle at 1-4 cycles for razor-edged harmonic bite. MORPHING: 64 frames per table
- Morph smoothly between waves to create seamless timbre changes Modulate the table index with LFO/ADSR/ENVELOPE to animate the sound. USER WAVETABLES: Add wavetables you edited and bring your own library. With multiple playback modes, from recreating other instruments to sounds you've never heard before.
