- Sturdy construction To ensure that your new clarinet lasts a lifetime the Prodige is made from a co-polymeric ABS instead of wood. The issue with wooden clarinets especially models made from Grenadilla wood is that you have to be careful what environment you play them in. Due to their organic nature sudden humidity or temperature changes can result in the wood cracking - which is an expensive fix! You wont have any of that with the Prodige clarinet. The ABS is unaffected by environmental factors making them nearly maintenance-free. Just like every Buffet product the Prodige receives the same amount of care and attention that it deserves. Buffets skilled artisans are responsible for moulding and drilling the bore of the Prodige in the same factory in France which they make all of Buffets instruments. This way they can guarantee consistency to ensure you get the possible product. Premium mechanism The Buffet Prodige clarinet has a simple design featuring the standard 17 keys and 6 rings. All tone holes have been undercut and combined with leather pads creating a great seal with better intonation and tonal character. All keywork is silver plated which is long-lasting and ergonomic - allowing ease of play for student players. This combined with an adjustable thumb rest makes the Prodige very nice to play. Even the bell has been developed to optimise projection. Everything you need To ensure that you have the best possible experience the Buffet clarinet includes everything that you need to get started. To keep the clarinet safe the Prodige clarinet comes with a stylish hard case that offers strong protection. On the outside of the case you will find the strong zipper a robust handle and padded backpack straps for ensure comfort. On the front of the case you will find a large pocket which is perfect for storing your sheet music. Moulded especially for the Buffet clarinet the Prodige fits perfectly inside the case. For an extra touch of protection the inside is lined with a soft-touch material that wont scratch your instrument. There is also a dedicated compartment for any additional accessories such as the included mouthpiece ligature and reed. Buffet Prodige Buffet has developed the Prodige student clarinet to make it more affordable for those on a budget. Part of this task was to keep the same professional values of the instrument while decreasing the price.
