The PGI-29 12-ink system is equipped with 5 dedicated monochrome inks, offering classic black and white prints with stunning detail and smooth tonal gradation. Significantly expanding the colour gamut and featuring a new Chroma Optimizer for uniform glossiness and crisp, sharp blacks. Pigment inks add a solid layer of colour that prints extremely well on both smooth photo papers and fine art papers. Combined with Canon's high-performance FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head these inks produce crisp A3+ prints up to a maximum resolution of 4800 x 2400dpi.
