- If you have a guitar with a P90-style pickup layout, but would like to be able to put a real Super Distortion in it, then this DiMarzio DP209 P90 Super Distortion humbucker pickup is the way to go! The sound of this pickup is based on the original Super Distortion, but obviously has a somewhat smoother response in the highs due to a slightly different layout. You can hear this particularly on the slightly higher frets. Like the original Super Distortion, this P90-style variant works best in the bridge position.
