Chris Brady is a master drum smith and a pioneer when it comes to hand-made high-quality drums. Durable rose gum wood shell Rose gum is a very hard wood harder than common drum shell woods such as maple and birch. This provides superb levels of volume and projection while offering a longer sustain. This increased level of volume and control puts you firmly in the driving seat powering through in any mix. Fine-tune for the perfect sound Experience the ability of the Artisan snare across all tuning ranges and find your perfect sound. The tube lugs and die-cast hoops provide even and consistent tuning with a crisp and dominant rimshot sound. The indented tension knobs screw into the tube lugs to make fine tuning incredibly easy. Whether youre wanting a deep low tuned snare or a high and crisp sounding snare the Artisan will not disappoint. Accurately cut 45-degree bearing edges A 45-degree bearing edge is a common cut for snare drums featuring a 1-ply edge close to the outside of the drum shell. With a 45-degree bearing edge the drum head film has much less contact on the drum shell itself. This results in a more lively sound packed full of sustain and attack. These bearing edges also produce considerably more harmonic overtones creating a brighter sounding snare drum. These added overtones make fine-tuning even easier due to the increased sensitivity to tension changes.
