Product Fundamentals
  • Set it up your way One great feature of the Dixon Little Roomer is its versatility. Both the snare drum and included 6" tambourine can be mounted from 10.5mm L-rods (not included) to free up floor space around your kit even further. This means you need fewer stands in your hardware bag lightening your load and cutting your set-up time down. High-end hardware Intelligent mounting and top-notch hoops. Despite the Little Roomers primary role as a space-saving drums solution Dixon didnt take any shortcuts in the hardware department. The 10" x 7" rack tom mounts simply from the bass drums 7/8" diameter mounting post. Likewise the 13" floor tom is equipped with sturdy standard legs and with 1.6mm triple-flanged hoops all round lack of sustain is never an issue. Mahogany shells More bass for your buck. You might imagine that the Little Roomers compact shell sizes mean a lack of low-end. However mahoganys warm bass-end response and tapered treble mean these tiny tubs produce a balanced and well-rounded sound reminiscent of much larger shells. Accurately cut 45-degree bearing edges A 45-degree bearing edge is a common cut for drums featuring a 1-ply edge close to the outside of the drum shell. With a 45-degree bearing edge the drumhead film has much less contact on the drum shell itself. This results in a more lively sound packed full of sustain and attack. These bearing edges also produce considerably more harmonic overtones making fine-tuning even easier due to the increased sensitivity to tension changes.
