- In this set of Dunlop DBFS45105S bass strings you will find four stainless steel flatwound strings, suitable for any electric bass with short scale neck. The strings have a warm and clear sound and can also produce that typical, deep, round flatwound bass tone if you turn the tone knob on your bass all the way around. Because that short scale bassists also like to use that vintage sound of the early days of rock and funk, they understood that well at Dunlop. These strings have a medium thickness of 0.45 to 1.05 inches.
