PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- This DW Drums Design Series Rata Tom offers a melodic percussive sound and has a diameter of 6 inches and a depth of 12 inches. Unlike traditional toms, in this variant it is the depth that determines the pitch and sound, rather than the diameter. The shell is made of 5 mm thick acrylic and finished with a Black Satin lacquer, which makes for an attractive and simultaneously robust design. In addition, the tom features DW shell hardware, including True-Pitch tension screws, tension edges and Design Series Mini Turret tension blocks, for precise tuning. The convenient tom-mount on the side makes it easy to integrate this rata tom into your setup. Combined with other DW Rata Toms, this also allows you to perform very melodic playing - an approach seen in drummers such as Thomas Lang
