- The DW Drums Design Series Rata Tom is a cool melodic addition to your drum kit, with a diameter of 6 inches and a depth of 14 inches. What makes this tom so special is that the depth determines the pitch and sound, and not the diameter as with usual toms. This makes it possible to play melodic percussion, as drummers like Simon Philips
- Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart do. The shell is made of 5mm thick acrylic and has a fully transparent finish, with high-quality DW shell hardware such as True-Pitch tension screws and tension edges and Design Series Mini Turret tension blocks. The tom is easily mounted to an L-Rod with the tom holder on the side.
