- For drummers looking for a small percussive addition to their drum kit, the DW Drums Design Series Rata Tom is an interesting choice. This model has a diameter of 6 inches and a depth of 16 inches, with depth being the determining factor for pitch and sound - a different approach to regular toms. The shell is made of 5mm thick acrylic and has a cool transparent finish, which, together with the DW shell hardware (including True-Pitch tension screws, tension edges and Design Series Mini Turret tension blocks), makes for a solid unit. The instrument is easily mounted to an L-Rod via the side tom holder, so it fits seamlessly into any drum setup.
