The EarthQuaker Devices Astral Destiny Octal Octave Reverb uses detailed controls and two separate modes of operation to give you ultimate control over just how expansive and ethereal your tone is. First select between Live Mode or Preset Mode: Live allows each control to be altered manually whereas Preset offers stock settings for each mode. These stock settings can be saved and replaced at any time from the eight available slots. Then choose reverb Mode between eight modulated octave reverbs. From there use the five remaining knobs to alter the reverbs spacial qualities. You can even choose whether you want tails or not
- tails allows the reverb to naturally decay after the effect is bypassed whereas Full Bypass mode cuts the effect entirely once disengaged. Also sporting full expression pedal support which can be assigned to any of the controls for ultimate pedalboard-compatibility. Time to get experimenting and tweaking to find your perfect reverb. Stretch your sound One of the most innovative features is the dedicated Stretch footswitch. This allows you to push your sound to even deeper depths. This doubles the length of the effect while adding a temporary change in pitch allowing you to warp your verb in innovative new ways and offering even more further levels of sonic flexibility. Use the Length knob to fine-tune the speed of the pitch-bending effect when the footswitch is pressed then enjoy creating other-worldly textures by warping your already ethereal reverb.
