The endpin and tailpiece are well made and reliable whilst the German tooled solid brass tuners make tuning simple. Rich deep sound The combination of spruce maple and ebony used on the Eastman 80 double bass produces a deep rich tone that blends well with ensembles and orchestras. The careful design and build ensures a warm and even sound throughout the registers allowing the player to concentrate purely on performance and technique. Sized for most people This double bass is 3/4 size which is ideal for most people - it fits adults and older children comfortably allowing them to concentrate solely on their technique and practice. The bridge provides optimum height above the fingerboard making it suitable for both bowing and pizzicato.
