Compound radius neck & ebony fingerboard Featuring a unique compound-radius fingerboard design the EVH Wolfgang Special ensures comfortable playability. The fingerboard gradually flattens towards the heel from its rounded profile at the nut allowing for smooth chord progression and effortless riffing. The flattened heel also provides easy access to the higher register catering to both lead and rhythm players. The ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays enhances the guitars responsiveness making it ideal for percussive techniques like tapping. Furthermore the innovative truss rod adjustment wheel located at the base of the neck allows for easy customization of the instruments action. Direct mount Wolfgang humbucking pickups Equipped with direct mount Wolfgang humbucking pickups the EVH Wolfgang Special ensures maximum vibration transfer and prolonged sustain. These pickups known for their fierce highs defined middle range and chunky low end enable players to achieve Eddie Van Halens iconic tone. With Alnico II magnets and a DC resistance of 14k (bridge) and 16k (neck) these medium output pickups deliver a vintage sound suitable for various playing styles. The black "speed" control knobs for volume and tone along with the 3-position toggle switch provide versatility in shaping the instruments sound. EVH-Branded Floyd Rose Special Tremolo The EVH Wolfgang Special features the renowned Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo a design that has remained unrivaled for over 30 years.
