The body, with its vintage edge radiuses casts a classic shadow. The unique reduced profile neck joint and subtly extended cutaway offers enhanced upper fret access, and the superb overall balance makes the Classic a pleasure to wear, A solid four bolt neck joint ensures the constructional and mechanical integrity which provides a platform for great sustain and the emblematic tonalities of the Country Squire Classic.<br><br><strong>Headstock:</strong><br>The signature Fret-King headstock ensures perfect balance, classic looks, and great visual appeal.<br><br><strong>Machine Heads:</strong><br>Wilkinson® WJ05

- and a Tapped-Fifty™ tappable overwound single coil bridge pickup, both created by Trev Wilkinson, mean the Classic is at home in the broadest possible range of musical styles.<br><br>For maximum performance and the broadest tonal palette, the Country Squire Classic features a three way selector switch on an ergonomically designed angled switch plate, master volume, master tone, and Fret-King’s unique Varicoil™ control, which progressively winds the neck mounted Staggertwin down to single coil, moving seamlessly from a full throated powertone, to a much more traditional neck single coil sound and in the bridge mounted Tapped-Fifty, brings in or out of play a series of additional winds which allow this impeccably voiced pickup to segue between a classic and very authentic ‘50’s tone to a more contemporary “Southern Hot” single cut voice. With the Varicoil rolled back, and switch in the middle position, you’ll find that oh so familiar, two single coil “quack”.</p> <p><strong>Control Functions:</strong><br>• Ergonomic three-way lever switch selects neck, both, or bridge pickup.<br>• Master Volume.<br>• Tone Control: Outer control master tone, inner control, Varicoil progressively rolls neck mounted Staggertwin pickup from double to single coil and adds or subtracts additional winds in the Tapped-Fifty bridge pickup.<br><br><strong>Bridge:</strong><br>Enhancing all that tonality is the unique Wilkinson WTB bridge featuring a steel baseplate which surrounds and focusses the magnetic field of the Tapped-Fifty.
