- Main Slide Tuning Trigger The Coppergate Professional Euphonium includes a thumb trigger that operates the main tuning slide which works in the same way that valve triggers and slides do on a cornet or trumpet. This is extremely useful for fine adjustments to notes during performances particularly in the higher register that are prone to intonation issues on euphoniums. Protective Guard This euphonium includes an adjustable plate that attaches over the main tuning slide. This protects against the slides being knocked in or out during performances and also prevents the main body of the instrument getting scratched by belts or buttons thus keeping the instrument in pristine condition. 4 Valve Compensating System The Coppergate Professional Euphonium features a compensating system which aids tuning by channeling air flow through the instruments alternative valves. This not only makes the instrument easier to play but also improves tuning. The instrument also has a side action 4th valve which is the equivalent as valves 1 and 3. This also improves the tuning of lower notes by having a separate tuning slide. Everything You Need The euphonium doesnt just come on its own. Included with this instrument is a mouthpiece that enables you to get playing straight out of the box. As well as this a hard case has been included meaning the instrument can be stored and carried safely.
