Product Fundamentals
  • A modern and musical module The highlight of the 520 Electronic Drum Kit is its state-of-the-art DD520 drum module. This all-new module brings greater connectivity and controllability to the Digital Drums range than ever before. Despite its comprehensive feature set the DD520&rsquo
  • s streamlined layout is designed to put you in the driving seat with even its most advanced options only a couple of button presses away. With a setup as intuitive as this you can simply switch on and dive right in as soon as inspiration strikes. Customise your creativity Creativity is at the core of the DD520 Kit. Every detail of each of the 329 individual drum sounds can be precisely tailored to your desired sound. Fancy a deeper snare tone? Lower its pitch. Looking for a more up-front kick drum sound? Adjust its compression and EQ settings in an instant. Combined with the broad and extensive collection of onboard DSP effects whether you want outlandish industrial tones or that organic roomy Nashville sound the drum tone of your dreams is ready at the touch of a button. From rehearsal to stage to studio The 520s extensive connectivity makes it an ideal e-kit in any drumming situation. For those rehearsing on their own the Digital Drums 520 Module contains a wealth of features to make those practise sessions both engaging and convenient. The easy-access metronome is ideal for solidifying your grooves and fills while the unit ships with ten play-along songs loaded and ready to put your skills to the test. Or use the stereo AUX-IN jack to jam with your own tracks while monitoring from the 1/4" stereo PHONE jack. The headphones jack can also be used to connect to a PA or recording device for easy live and studio performance in full stereo. Alternatively connect the L/MONO output to an amp or monitor such as the Gear4Music sideKIK for simple instant amplification. Powerful MIDI control For programmed drum parts with that inimitable human touch the 520 series module supports MIDI control of your chosen DAW via USB. This bypasses the modules internal sound library allowing the 520s pads to trigger any third-party sampling software and opening up an entire world of extra drum sound options. Cutting edge playing surfaces The Digital Drums 520s pads provide the highly realistic and intuitive feel that drummers want from an electric kit. An all-new mesh kick drum pad (with included kick drum pedal) offers Digital Drums most lifelike bass drum response yet perfectly capturing every subtlety of your playing while drastically reducing mechanical noise when compared to a rubber pad for home rehearsal without the noise complaints. Almost any technique youd use on a regular acoustic drum kit has been catered for. The snare and each of the three tom-tom pads have a separate sensor in the rim allowing you to switch to rim-clicks or if you wish assign an entirely separate sample to this sensor for easy access to cowbells tambourines and more. With three choke-able cymbal pads in addition to the hi-hat pad youve got scope for two crashes and a ride cymbal too completing a physical playing experience that feels just like playing an acoustic set of drums.
