Whether it be the contoured body the punchy Wilkinson pickups or the slim profile neck these guitars provide player-friendly refinements at every opportunity. The green LA select is built upon an alder body. Used throughout the guitar industry due to its resonant and bright qualities alder is a rich tone wood which has the added benefit of being lightweight meaning no strain on your shoulders whilst playing. The green finish adorns a classic double cutaway body shape making sure you not only look the part but also have easy access to the higher frets for solos. The smooth maple neck has been tailored to a slim and comfortable C shape and topped with a Jatoba fretboard - offering outstanding tonal transfer responsiveness and durability with a 16" radius fretboard for superb string-bending action. Wilkinson brand hardware This LA is one of six models in the LA select range featuring high-end Wilkinson brand hardware offering a significant upgrade which makes the guitars tuning and intonation extremely stable and accurate. At the headstock Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55 gold machine heads and two string trees provide a smooth and accurate tuning experience - this allows you to play confidently safe in the knowledge that your guitar has got your back despite any bends or dive bombs you might throw at it. At the other end of the guitar Wilkinsons M-series 2-point tremolo bridge system offers precise vibrato action and returns to tune with ease. Easily adjustable bridge pieces offer precise intonation for each string and the three-spring block is naturally more stable. In-built strap buttons mean you can play your LA select for hours without strain and jam in whatever position feels most comfortable for you. Versatile pickups and controls This LA guitar comes equipped with three high output Wilkinson M-series alnico single coil pickups and a five-way selector switch. The three-pickup and five-way switch configuration is a setup well known for its use by players such as Nile Rodgers John Frusciante Jimi Hendrix and many many more... The five-way switch allows you to select different combinations of the three pickups as follows: Bridge Pickup Only Middle and Bridge Pickups Middle Pickup Only Neck and Middle Pickups Neck Pickup Only These five different options give access to a plethora of iconic tones. For example the 4th position is often associated with a funky super clean sound due to its particularly smooth and twangy timbre. On the other hand the 1st position is closely associated with soaring guitar solos and rock rhythm parts due to the way it cuts through clearly in a full-band setting. The three awesome pickups are also controlled via 250k Alpha volume and tone pots making it easier than ever to get your ideal sound - the tone knob allows you to quickly brighten/dampen your tone and the volume knob gives you instant access to adjusting your level. 15W Electric Guitar Amp by Gear4music The 15W Electric Guitar Amp by Gear4music is a compact and reliable practice/gigging amplifier with an 6.5" speaker intuitive controls and a great sound. The super-simple layout makes dialling-in tones feel remarkably straightforward and allows ample room for experimentation. The Low Mid and High controls on the amp allow you to dial in your favourite EQ whilst Gain provides a wide range of tonal possibilities from sparkling cleans to crunchy rhythms. Plus by selecting the additional Overdrive channel you can take your tone into a whole other realm perfect for soaring lead lines. The in-built headphone output is another innovative feature which allows players to use the amplifiers technology whilst bypassing the speaker entirely.
