- Rototoms produce excellent Latin percussion sounds with a style similar to the timpani but with a quite distinctive tone. Rototoms have a particular type of drum shell in which the drumhead and counterhoop are mounted on an aluminum spoke frame through which the tension rods are attached to a bottom frame which is mounted on a threaded center bolt. If you rotate the frame it increases or decreases the tension on the skin changing the pitch of the drum quickly and easily. This set comes with the standard 6" 8" and 10" toms as well as a high grade double braced stand with a fully adjustable mounting bracket which allows you to perfectly position the drums to a comfortable playing position.
