The Brooklyn series produces a powerfully warm sound with the Maple/Poplar offering a full and open tone. Contact from the characteristic 30-degree bearing edge provides just the right amount of sustain control rounding out the woods characteristics. The drum hoops provide the tone with personality and ambience giving the drums recognition with a twist. The Brooklyn drums feature Gretsch Permatone heads produced by Remo that produce a punchy tone with a bright attack controlled sustain and a full resonance straight from the box. Hardware that adds not hinders With the Maple/Poplar tone so vital in the Brooklyns tone Gretsch has created hardware that support and moulds rather than interfere. Straight-sided GTS with a G59025 bracket allows the wood to resonate and flow whilst supporting its positioning. Double-flanged 3mm 302 Steel Gretsch hoops provide level contact with the head and bearing edge letting the head resonate according to the wood and producing the rounded sustain recording engineers and players love. A Silver Sealer is also applied inside every drum sealing the wood together and bonding their tonal properties together.
