- Reinvented Sound Made from 6-ply Maple/Poplar shells the 3 piece Gretsch Brooklyn shell pack produces the recognisable Gretsch sound but reinvented to create a unique tone. The Brooklyn series produces a powerfully warm sound with the Maple/Poplar offering a full and open tone. The drum hoops provide the tone with personality and ambience giving the drums an all-rounder sound. The Brooklyn drums feature Gretsch Permatone heads created by Remo that produce a punchy tone with a bright attack controlled sustain and a full resonance. Innovative Design The Brooklyn series of drums from Gretsch are hand-made using a combination of Maple and Poplar in a 6-ply construction with the classic Gretsch silver sealing interior finish alongside a satin ice blue metallic exterior finish. Taking inspiration from the Brooklyn scene the drums use old Gretsch designs with modern technology and hardware to create an artistic expression. The drums also feature Gretsch brackets legs straight-sided GTS tom holder spurs and vintage styled double-flanged high-profile hoops. The kit also comes with free-floating isolation mounts that help to cut out all cross-vibrations to keep the drums tones consistent and prevents any cross contamination between them.
