Product Fundamentals
- The Heritage Audio Symph EQ stereo equalizer has been built to meet mix-bus and mastering demands. This potent EQ wrangler provides high and low-shelf filters to clean signals of frequency-based extremes, and as you would only expect of a mastering-grade EQ, the Symph can be switched between L-R and M-S stereo, and every control pot is stepped. The Worthy Successor to the Baxandall EQ For decades already, the design of the Baxandall equalizer has provided the template for many high and low-shelf EQs, since the line of the curve rises so gradually and essentially continues on into infinity. The Heritage Audio Symph EQ could rightfully be seen as the worthy successor to this technique. This so-called asymptotic equalizer has a parallel signal path reminiscent of renowned passive equalizers, so that barely any phase deviations are allowed to occur.
