Product Fundamentals
  • Please note: Images for reference this instrument comes as an instrument only and does not include strings. Head over to our cello strings page to find your perfect set. Ebony Fingerboard Ebony is a popular wood known best for the clear crisp attacks it is capable of producing. This wood is generally much brighter than maple and has a similar density too. Ebony however has oilier pores than maple and extra brittle grains. As a result of the tight grains this fingerboard doesnt require any finish. This quality gives the fingerboard a natural smooth quick playing ability favoured by many professionals. Although there are many types of wood used to create fingerboards ebony is the darkest of them all. The wood works effectively throughout the instruments range and is reliable for years. Full Size Cello This 4/4 size Amati Cello is the ideal fit for most players - adults and older children can enjoy the comfortable fit of this instrument. Worry no more about adjusting the instrument to your size and concentrate solely on your musical preparation. Amati The two Amati brothers are known to be some of Cremonas finest makers. Their work is inspired by their father Andrea who was the founder of the Cremona school. Violins made by the brothers are often small whereas their tenor and brass instruments are much more robust in regards to both size and tone. This cello is much like their others and features a reduced size and stunning overall design.
