- With their Alegra Series, Hohner have given the humble recorder a welcome makeover. The Alegra B95860 has a natural pear wood body that produces a warm and clear sound and has been topped with a contrasting ivory-coloured mouthpiece. The mouthpiece has been made from specially treated plastic impregnated with antibacterial silver ions which effectively prevents bacterial development, and an hour after playing, any bacteria that is present has been reduced by 80%. Baroque Fingering This recorder has been tuned in C and features baroque fingering, including double-bored sixth and seventh holes and reduced hole spacing to make learning easier for children.
