The Hohner Chord 48 is an accompaniment harmonica with a top row of blown major chords, and inhaled dominant 7th chords. The bottom row of the Chord 48 gives you blown minor chords and when inhaled, you get the diminished and augmented chords. Somehow, all of this has been crafted into an instrument just 60cm in length. The 48 Chords of the Chord 48 48 individual reed plates, 384 brass reeds and 192 holes combine and create each of the 48 4-note chords. The lower and higher pitched reeds are fitted with precise equal spacing to ensure balance when miking up. For full stability and protection from changes in temperature and humidity, the modern body of the Chord 48 is made using ABS.
