Product Fundamentals
- About Jargar Jargar began in 1956 after years of experimentation by Danish cellist Jarl Hansen. Hansen wanted more from his cello than the gut strings he was using could provide. Hansen developed a string with a core of steel and wound with pure or alloyed metal. Like many other string makers Hansen realised that steel cores offered far greater stability and durability than gut strings and a stronger tone. Hansens strings grew to be extremely popular amongst classical musicians and the company expanded to making strings for violin viola and double bass as well as the cello. Specifications Tension: Medium String note: D Core material: Flexible steel End: Ball end Winding: Chrome steel Instrument size: 3/4 String diameter: 0.99 mm
