- Wilco guitarist Nels Cline asked Josh Scott of JHS Pedals for an oil can delay pedal. JHS had none to offer, so Josh and his team built a custom stompbox that turned out to be so good that Nels wanted to give it a permanent spot on his pedalboard. That very pedal is what inspired the JHS 3 Series Oil Can Delay.
