- Pentax K, and Nikon F cameras, this optical lens produces superb picture quality. The lens has an APD (apodization) element adjacent to the aperture. This element acts similar to an ND filter and reduces the light transmission towards the edges slowly. The slow transition creates a natural and soft out-of-focus rendition to focus on the main subject. The Venus Optics Laowa Lens comes equipped with two aperture rings. These rings, combined with the APD element, let the lens create pleasing bokeh effects. This lens also includes eight aperture blades for an enhanced depth of field. It has a manually operated focus that enables the photographers to focus in close proximity along with 0.16x magnification. The lens front and back lens caps are included for protection from accidental impacts and scratches.
