- A versatile prime lens designed for use with Micro Four Thirds systems, the Laowa 17mm f1.8 MFT Lens is an incredibly lightweight and flexible lens. Weighing in at just 172g and 5.1 cm long, this ultra-compact lens has a plethora of uses for both photographic and video work. It's both drone/gimbal friendly and its 17mm prime focal length provides an equivalent 34mm range in full-frame format, and it has a minimum focusing distance of just 15cm. But what about the image quality? Despite its very affordable price point, this lens is equipped with an advanced lens structure comprising of 9 elements arranged into 7 groups, including the use of Super ED element that reduces chromatic aberrations and colour fringing. It has a wide and bright maximum f1.8 aperture that provides excellent low-light performance and provides creative control of depth-of-field.
