- The Latin Percussion Whiskey Barrel Tumba cajon is as fun to play as it looks and sounds incredible. The semi-circular body gives it a thick and deep tone, while the smaller-than-average playing surface balances things out with bright and sharp slaps. Made using New Zealand pine wood and based on a real whiskey barrel, this cajon has the same stave construction, and has been secured with metal rings for an authentic sound and finish, while the playing surface has been made of poplar and fitted with snares for that bright, percussive attack. This barrel measures 50cm high (not including the fitted feet), is 30cm broad, and 34cm deep, making it a little bit bigger than most standard cajons - hence the name &apos
