- With the Leonardo LV-1512 Basic Series Violin Outfit, you get a complete starter kit in one go for young violinists of about 8 years of age. First of all, the instrument itself: a beautifully finished 1/2 violin with solid spruce top and a maple body. This violin comes in a sturdy hard case with two shoulder straps and extra compartment for accessories. There is also room for as many as two bows in the case, which you can safely store in the holders provided for that purpose. One of these is already occupied, as the price also includes a bow, with ebony slipper.
