Ludwig has introduced a slight bevel into the outer edge of this design slightly increasing the contact surface and providing more warmth and less sustain than a typical 45-degree bearing edge would. Five-ply hardwood shells A construction of select hardwood provides these drums with a bright tonality and a short sustain along with a punchy sound to encourage accurate rhythms and playing clarity. The tonal brightness of this kit is also reinforced by the five-ply shell thickness giving a unique character to this kit. Double ply heads Each drum in this set comes complete with double-ply batter heads which not only increases robustness but also improves the sound. This two-ply construction reduces vibrations and like the hardwood shell produces a shorter sustain to deliver a great-sounding kit. Whats included?
