- The MXR Dyna Comp from the 1970s is praised for its unique sound and performance. The pedal makes the overall sound a lot tighter and adds a load of sustain. The sound of a guitar compressor can also be extremely nice for so-called strumming chords or country-style solos with lots of spikes in volume. Script: not cryptic MXR Dyna Comp is easy to adjust using the two available controls (output and sensitivity), which take care of the output volume and compression strength respectively.
