- The Ortofon 2M Black Verso MM Cartridge is the flagship of the range built with screws suitable for bottom-mounted headshells. This is the ideal solution for installations where screws cannot be fitted through the top of the headshell. The dimensions and weight of the cartridge as a whole are compatible with a wide range of modern tonearms and turntables.As the top performer of the range the 2M Black features a precision-machined nude Shibata diamond stylus mounted to an upgraded engine comprising of split pole magnets and an intricate silver-plated copper coil system. With its ultra-thin and highly polished profile this stylus can trace the groove over a larger contact area ultimately maximising its ability to retrieve accurate information and presenting deeper insight into each record. By mounting the diamond stylus directly to the cantilever the 2M Black reduces stylus mass thus enabling quicker and more precise movement through the groove as well as offering you a unique opportunity to hear your collection as if the artist were in the room.
