Unique mango top with satin nitro finish This special edition replaces the traditional maple top with a beautifully figured mango top giving the guitar a unique appearance with quilt-like figuring and rich visual depth. DMO pickups for dynamic open tone The 40th Anniversary Custom 24 features PRS DMO pickups developed by Paul Reed Smith and the PRS engineering team to deliver a dynamic musical and open voice. From rich full humbucker sounds to clearer more articulate tones through the 5-way blade switch the DMO pickups allow the guitar to adapt easily to different playing styles and musical settings. Classic Custom 24 playability and hardware While the materials and aesthetics are unique the guitar retains the trusted playability of the Custom 24 platform. The mahogany neck with Pattern Thin profile offers fast comfortable playability across the 24-fret ebony fretboard while the 25" scale length provides the familiar PRS feel. Hardware includes the PRS patented Gen III tremolo for smooth vibrato and reliable tuning stability along with Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons that help maximise resonance and sustain.
