From full humbucker warmth to brighter more articulate single-coil-style sounds the system makes it easy to adapt your tone to different playing styles and musical settings. PRS TCI "S" pickups for versatile sound PRS TCI "S" pickups are designed to provide a broad tonal palette with excellent clarity and balance. In full humbucker mode they deliver rich powerful tones suited to rock blues and heavier styles while the coil-tap function introduces brighter more focused sounds reminiscent of classic single-coil guitars. This versatility allows the Custom 24-08 to move easily between clean rhythm textures expressive lead tones and punchy driven sounds without losing definition. Classic PRS tonewood pairing A maple top paired with a mahogany back forms the tonal foundation of the Custom 24-08. Maple contributes brightness and articulation while mahogany adds warmth depth and strong midrange presence.
