- s approach to tone and playability. Built on the McCarty platform the guitar incorporates a unique neck carve taller frets and a carefully considered control layout. The result is an instrument designed to feel like a well-played vintage guitar from the moment you pick it up delivering responsive tone and effortless playability. DGT pickups with vintage voice The specially voiced DGT pickups were developed through extensive testing and comparison of more than forty pickup sets before reaching the final design. These humbuckers deliver a warm vintage-inspired tone with clear articulation and strong midrange character. They excel at producing rich rhythm textures and expressive lead sounds offering the dynamic response needed for blues rock and similar genres. Their balanced output ensures clarity across the fretboard while maintaining the fullness expected from a traditional humbucker. Flexible and intuitive control layout The DGT features a distinctive control configuration designed for practical tonal control during performance. Each pickup has its own volume control allowing players to blend neck and bridge pickups to create nuanced tones. A push/pull master tone control activates coil taps introducing brighter more focused sounds when needed. Combined with the three-way pickup selector this layout provides a wide range of usable tones while remaining simple and intuitive to operate on stage or in the studio. PRS hardware for reliability and feel The DGT is equipped with PRS hardware designed for stability resonance and smooth performance. The PRS patented Gen II tremolo provides precise action and excellent tuning stability while maintaining strong tonal fidelity.
