- With this PDP Drums Concept Classic snare drum, you get a tremendously cool and complete snare for the price. The best thing about this snare, perhaps, are the wooden snare edges, instead of Die-Cast, for example. In addition to a unique and beautiful appearance, these wooden tensioning edges give the snare a very warm and punchy sound and generally deliver a very universal and all-round sound. The shell is made of 10 layers of European maple wood to which it owes its bright sound. The snare is equipped with modern dual-turret lugs for even distribution of tension on the sheet, and a DW MAG throw-off strainer to easily activate and deactivate the string mat. The DW True-Pitch tensioning screws offer 20% extra threads so you can tune super accurately.
