- This PDP Drums Concept Select Aluminium snare, measuring 14 inches by a whopping 8 inches deep, features a 3 mm thick brushed aluminium shell and totally cool: walnut wood spanned edges! This gives this snare not only unique looks but also a very unique sound. It combines the dry sound of aluminium with the warm attack of wood. Basically, the snare works very well in all tunings, but comes to life particularly in the mid-to-high tunings. The shell features high-quality shell hardware from parent company DW, who are known for their excellence.
