- The PDP Drums Concept Select Aluminium snare features a 3 mm thick brushed aluminium shell. Besides a hugely attractive look, this - combined with the unique walnut wood truss edges, also sounds great! The snare delivers quite a bit of projection in low tuning with few overtones, and in high tuning the overtones really come alive for a very dynamic and all-round usable sound. Aluminium has the property of having a somewhat dry sound, keeping the overtones manageable. The snare has a diameter of 14 inches and a depth of 6.5 inches.
