- The PDP Concept Maple kit combines 7-ply tom and kick shells with a 10-ply snare shell to provide an extremely robust and responsive drum kit. When you add in the DW style STM (Suspension Tom Mount) system you get serious tone delivered from a highly affordable kit. The toms on the Concept Maple benefit from DWs graduated counter hoops meaning the smaller drums on the kit feature thinner hoops allowing the drums to resonate more freely and produce much richer sounds. Another feature of the toms is the STM (Suspension Tom Mount) system which allows the toms to resonate independently without any chocking from hardware to shell contact. The Concept Maple kit snare drum is a 10 ply snare rather than the more traditional 7 ply producing a chunky thicker sound that is perfect for adding a different characteristic to your play style. The snare also features 10 double ended lugs for maximum tuning stability even under heavy and intense playing. PDPs Concept Maple shell kit also features chrome hardware true pitch tuning for speed and reliability and Remo drum heads. The Maple ply provides a warm deep sound that is perfect for many genres.
