- ve added a layer of fibreglass for some extra attack. This 14 x 5-inch snare drum has a warm sound with a rich low-end. Pearl chose a high-quality Ebony finish and added a single golden pinstripe. Top quality from Pearl. Pearl HEK1450: details The hardware has been chrome plated. To keep the tension on the head as consistent as possible, Pearl introduced the Spin-Tight tension rods, which are basically a tension rod within a tension rod. This prevents the rods from vibrating and loosening, no matter how hard you hit the snare drum. The heads are high-quality Remo Ambassadors. With its Hybrid Exotic series, Pearl delivers a high-quality snare drum with a rich tone.
