It all started with Giorgio Pirazzi who learned the craft of string making across Italy and then moved to Offenbach Germany and began his company. Nearly a century later Pirazzis grandson invited his friend Theodore Strobel to join him as a business partner. They combined the beginnings of their names to create Pirastro.
