Product Description
- String materials The strings have a nylon core (with the exception of the E string). Synthetic cores such as nylon provide resistance to temperature change and humidity allowing for more reliable playing in many environments without needing to worry about the tuning drifting too much. The E string is made of a special carbon steel core which provides the brightness needed for the top string and is plated with tin. The resultant sound is powerful with great responsiveness under the bow. The A string is wound with aluminium and the D and G strings are wound with silver. These materials are chosen for their timbre which matches the range and character of the strings theyre used for. The E and D strings are available wound with aluminium this results in a slightly warmer sound which is great for instruments with a naturally brighter timbre. Tonicas are also available in sizes down to 1/32 size. This means that anyone no matter the stage in their playing can enjoy these strings.
