Product Fundamentals
  • When you think of the soprano saxophone, masters of the craft like Kenny G and John Coltrane probably come to mind. Of course, they had to get their start somewhere, just like you, and the Purcell SAX SOB makes for a great entry-level model! This rugged saxophone features a golden-coloured finish and, like all soprano saxophones, is in the key of Bb. Because the soprano sax is the smallest of the four types of saxophone (baritone, tenor and alto are the others), it has a higher register and produces a more lyrical, rounded sound. This particular soprano sax is special because of its curved neck, which differs from most soprano saxophones which are usually straight. The SAX SOB comes with a case to make it easy to store and transport.
