- s Emperor Ebony drumheads are not coated or dyed, so the black colour stays neatly on the sheet and does not rub off on your sticks or hands. The heads consist of two thin film layers of 7.5 and 7 mil. Thanks to the two layers, these skins are very durable and stable in terms of tuning. Remo gave this sheet excellent sound characteristics. For a bright, warm tone with excellent stick definition, the Emperor Ebony sheets are very interesting.
